The Virginia Museum of Transportation offers endless opportunities for Virginia Standards of Learning aligned field trips. Our collection of vintage wagons, buggies, automobiles, and locomotives offers a unique hands-on opportunity for teaching History and Science SOLS, plus Language Arts, Math and Safety.
Our docents have been specially trained to support SOL instruction for kindergarten through third grade students, but can answer questions for any age group. They have an entertaining style and the real-world experience that brings the past to life. Combine your creativity with our fascinating museum to equal endless opportunities for student learning at all grade levels!
Teachers pre-K through college are invited to visit the museum for FREE so you can see for yourselves what we have to offer! This summer, we are extending the offer of free admission to your immediate family as well.
