Explore our galleries, meet our educators, and learn how field trips engage your students and support your teaching and SOL achievement! Free admission for educators and their children. All public, private, and home school educators welcome! Educators must show school ID for free admission. Home school educators should register in advance by emailing Courtney Plaster. Children college age and under admitted free.
We make field trips fun and easy, and just what your students need!
Our educators are creative and nimble. Give us your educational goals and challenges (and enough time) and we can design a field trip that will meet yourbudget, time constraints, and teaching goals.
Targeted programming: our programming is aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning in multiple disciplines and supports STEM education. Programs can be modified, developed, and crafted just for your group. The educational programming is hands-on and inquiry-based.
Knowledgeable educators and docents: Our educators and docents have real-life experiences and love the topics they teach. They excel at engaging students with interactive learning at their grade level, from preschool through college.
Contracts are availbale: we offer custom designed programming contracts with school districts, private schools, and home school cooperatives. A contract can help your group save important education dollars.
