The Ford Model AA is the heavy duty commercial version of the Ford Model A automobile. It was manufactured between 1928-1931. Henry Ford was known for never wasting materials, and this truck uses the cab and sheet metal left over from a 1929 model. The AA has a different chassis. It is likely that this is the first use of Budd wheels and lug nuts, both of which are still used today.
This truck was used by Motor Cargo as a utility vehicle at their truck repair shop in Salt Lake City, Utah, during the 1950s. It served as a display piece on the front lawn of the corporate office until the mid-1980s when it was restored.
