McCormick-Deering Farmall Description

  • Manufacturer: The F-20 was built beginning in 1932 by International Harvester in Rock Island, IL.
  • When production finally ended in 1939, a total of 148,960 F-20 tractors had been built, breaking all previous records.
  • Subsequent Farmall models included the famous “Letter Series” designed by Raymond Loewy.
  • International Harvester was created in 1902 when J.P. Morgan and Company purchased both the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and the Deering Harvester Company, along with two smaller Harvester companies. International Harvester is now part of Navistar.

This exhibit was restored and offered to the Museum by Jeff Furman of Bridgewater, VA.
